As I think of this theme and its content, it reminds me of a joke about the Indian Police force. The joke goes like this: There was a competition amongst the police forces of the US, Russia, Japan and India. They were supposed to go inside a huge cage and catch the bear inside. First the US police go and uses a lot of tricks and tactics to trap the bear into a smaller cage and locks it. Operation time - 2 hrs. Then the Russian police force goes inside and uses its own technology and sophisticated weapons to overpower the bear and finally traps it. Operation time - 3 hrs. Follows the Japanese force and uses its own traditional histrionics to exhaust the beast and nabs it in 2.5 hrs. Finally goes the Indian Police force. But even after 10 hrs it does not come out. Other police forces get wary and go inside. And the scene inside was, that the Indian Police force was beating a monkey black and blue and yelling at it, "Tell that you are a bear". Well, it may sound like a joke, but it is actually true of the Indian police force. Being a man's rights activist and being associated with a prominent men's rights organization Save Indian Family Foundation, such behavior from the police is a brutal and harsh reality, more than being a joke. And again here, we have the famous case of Bollywood Actor, Shiney Ahuja being accused of raping his maid. Here also he is being lambasted at because he confessed sex with his maid to police. To the same police force that beats a monkey to make him confess that he is a bear. Based on that confession everyone is nailing upon not only Shiney Ahuja but the entire male gender in general. The issue is far more serious and grave than it appears to be. The so-called police confession of sex is just an excuse. Actually the society readily believes that men are perpetrators or crime, aggressors and criminals whereas women are gullible, innocent and docile. And not only that, prominent film personalities and fashion critics have even gone to the extent of saying that Anupam Ahuja (Shiney's wife) supporting her husband is actually a sign of her weakness with the argument that because Shiney has been caught cheating on his wife so many times that she felt ‘ignored' from him and now when he is trapped, the wife feels ‘needed' and jumped to his support and the celebrity does not respect such women. To be very frank, I am in total disagreement with the ‘hollow' views of the celebrity. First thing that she needs to know is that wives know their husbands in and out. And know very well, when to support their husbands and when not to. And there was absolutely no reason for the celebrity to paint other husbands as ‘cheating' and ‘abusive'. It only showed that she wanted a reason to unleash her male hatred and this time she based her hatred on the ‘police confession'!!! Such behavioral patterns are not surprising. Abuse of males is invisible and to some extent acceptable to the society. The level of trust on males is so despicably low that the moment a woman files a complaint against a male; his basic rights are also infringed, ignored even if he's proven innocent later. Such male hatred can never address problems, it can only increase them for anyone having any resentment against will use a woman against him and ruin his life. And all this happens because blames on males are a easy way to ruin his life. But who takes the responsibility for the blame?
