As already explained in Castration of the Initiator - A social service, it's the irresistible urge of men to Protect, Provide and own up Responsibility which ultimately leads to men initiating things and ending up being held responsible for anything wrong. Men do not realize this social trap wherein they are emotionally castrated since the age of 6 discouraging them from expressing themselves and sharing their pains, and are made to slog like a dog for the whole of their life their just providing, providing and providing. It is not uncommon to see that a boy is told that he should study well, become ‘someone' in life, be responsible and then he will get a beautiful girl as his wife who will take care of him and he should also take care of her. Keeping this thing in mind, the boy keeps on working hard to enable himself financially as the Primary Financial Responsibility will be on the man as he grows up. Marriage is showcased as a dream to men who continue to live in the fantasy until they get married and because of the brainwashing done since childhood; they continue to live in a world of denial after marriage even if they face abuse. And when the marriage does not work, the man struggles to realize the dreams he was shown before entering the trap called marriage. And any such effort by the man is termed as chauvinism from him and it begins as the invalidation of his problems. Chauvinism, however, is a complex phenomenon; it's used conveniently against men as explained in "The Myth called Male Power". Because men are busy dream chasing of the dream called marriage, thrust unto them by society, they are left with no time and energy to fight for their own rights or raise awareness about their own issues. Women, on the other hand, are much better equipped to do so for themselves. And that is the reason, today we see that everyone talks of Women's Rights and Men's Duties but no one talks of Men's Rights and Women's Duties. The sharp misbalance between the Rights and Duties of Men and Women has ultimately resulted in undue favor of tilt in marriage towards women and against men wherein men have no protection from either spousal domestic violence or against false allegations of the same and at the same time having only duties but no rights. Men keep dream chasing the concept of marriage and ruin their lives without realizing the need to stand up and fight for their rights. And when they face abuse, they want quick and immediate solution without realizing that it is centuries old hardwiring that is working against them and not just an isolated instance of injustice against men. The onus lies on men - they can continue to dream chase marriage - or take a vow not to get married till laws and societal attitudes are not turned in their favor. This will be a small step to prevent the further growth of statistics explained in Domestic Violence claims 156,000 husbands and Indian Men - An Epitome of Sacrifice.
